CalmVerio ("we", "us", "the letter") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

- Email address when you subscribe to the Sunday letter or contact us.
- Name and message content when you submit the contact form.
- Preferences if you tell us what kind of content you'd like to receive.

- Basic server logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) kept briefly for security and aggregate analytics.
- Email engagement metrics (delivered, opened, clicked) where supported by your email client.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the Sunday letter and any communications you have opted in to receive.
- To respond to feedback, pitches and partner inquiries.
- To improve the letter and the site.
- To prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal basis
Where GDPR applies we process personal data on the basis of your consent (for marketing emails), our legitimate interests in running and improving the letter, and where required, to comply with law.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate — our email delivery provider, our hosting provider and our analytics provider. They are bound by written agreements that limit their use of the data to instructed purposes.
5. Retention
We keep subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal suppression record so we don't accidentally mail you again. Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months unless we have an ongoing conversation.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@calmverio.com.
7. Unsubscribe
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time on our unsubscribe page. Opt-out requests are honoured within 48 hours, in line with CAN-SPAM, CASL and GDPR.
8. Cookies
We use a small set of essential and analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site.
9. Children
The letter is intended for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email.
